This is the only portable bioaerosol sampler to achieve sampling efficiencies equivalent to the reference, Andersen sampler, in government comparative tests (test results available from Specialty Scientific upon request).

Indoor or outdoor air is sampled at 100 liters per minute through the 100 mm diameter stainless steel sampler head and inertially impacted upon a general or selective media-filled agar plate. Either 55 mm RODAC or 90 mm diameter petri dishes can be used in the MB2. After sampling, the agar plate is incubated and colony growths counted. MicroBio reporting software is free with every instrument.

Multiple functions are easily operated with a membrane touchpad: sampling volume, delayed start time, battery charge indicator, on/off. The large stainless steel sampling head provides an effective collection pattern and can be autoclaved.
